East Anglia District
Boys' Brigade ("BB") is a national, christian organisation for boys
and young men. It offers a varied and flexible programme of activities,
in a friendly, supportive environment to encourage personal
development and growth in the christian faith.
The District supports the work of BB in East Anglia - Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire,
Essex and N E Hertfordshire by
- arranging joint activities
- supporting development and training
- promoting BB in the community
There are about 60 local units ("companies") of Boys'
Brigade in East Anglia, in 7 local groups ("battalions"). Each company
is part of a church. A company may have any of the following age
groups:
- Age 5 - 8 Anchor Boys
- Age 8 - 11 Junior Section
- Age 11 - 15 Company Section
- Age 15 - 18 Seniors
A few companies have an
AMICUS group, for age 15 to 22, with boys and girls.
