Training in East Anglia

The District offers training courses for leaders and Boys, arranged by the Training Convenor Jane Holden.

To register for a course, you may use the (RTF, 2 Kb) Application Form, sending it, with remittance, to Jane Holden.

Training for Leaders

Training helps and encourages leaders to deliver the BB Mission and in particular to

  • offer lively programme and activities to attract and retain boys

  • ensure safety and well being of members

  • achieve the BB object of "Advancing Christ's Kingdom"

Training for Boys

There are also Brigade courses for Boys as part of their advanced award work.

Discover “Discover” – What does the new Company Section Programme look like? How can I introduce it to my boys? Answer these questions and many more

Course 1 -Wednesday 26th September and 10th October 7.30 pm at South Woodham Ferrers Evangelical Church.

Closing Date 15th September cost £5 (£10 if you would like dinner at 7pm)

Course 2 - Saturday 29th September 9.30 am at Whitehouse Baptist Church, Ipswich.

Closing date 15th September cost £10 including lunch.

Child Protection and Safety

Have you got helpers or instructors who need to attend a child protection training (it is now a requirement for all helpers and instructors to attend child protection training) this is the training for them.

Monday 12th November 7.30 pm at Whitehouse Baptist Church, Ipswich.

Closing date 29th October. Cost £5 (including BB safety manual)

Captain and Officer In Charge Training

Are you taking on new responsibility? Or perhaps you have done so in the last 2 years, this is the course for you

Saturday 16th November 9.30 am at Sawston Free Church, Cambridgeshire.

Closing date 29th October cost £10 including lunch

Holiday Leadership

Taking boys away overnight? This is the training for you, to equip you with the skills, knowledge and understanding to plan and lead holiday activities for children and young people

Saturday 9th February 9.30 am at Whitehouse Baptist Church, Ipswich.

Closing Date 26th January cost £10 including lunch

Queen's Badge Completion and Under 26 Weekend

7th - 9th March at St Marks College, Audley End
